I have always been fascinated in how makeup can transform a face and was inspired by makeup artists Lisa Eldridge, Pixiwoo and Tanya Burr. This, as well as my interest in Colour Theory, exploring how colour affects the way we look, how different colours look energizing on some skins and draining on others, inspired me to become a makeup artist.
My initial training was with the ‘Alicia Sandeman Academy’ in 2016. This was an excellent course to grasp the fundamentals of makeup. Subjects covered were basic makeup techniques, bridal makeup and Asian makeup.
I attended the ‘Kristina Gasperas Makeup Academy’ in Richmond where I trained in ‘red carpet looks’ and specifically, bridal makeup. I developed an understanding in advanced techniques of makeup application and was also trained to take high quality photographs using correct lighting techniques. This has been a beneficial service for my clients as I am able to provide them with beautiful photographs of their makeup experience, whether it’s of their wedding day or a special occasion.
I have worked hard on expanding my business and now have a first class team of hand picked makeup artists and hair stylists. As a team or individually, we have attended masterclasses at Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury and with the Pixiwoo sisters to learn about new products or current trends.
My aim over the next few years is to become the best bridal makeup artist I can possibly be and to start my own academy. I thoroughly enjoy working and meeting new people; I hope that I can share my knowledge with others and inspire other MUA’S.
